Volunteers/Cuntóirí: The club are looking for people to help out at bingo on Monday nights. If you can spare 2 hours every 5 or 6 weeks then Niamh (087-9863667) would be delighted to have you on board.

Gradaim an Chíosógaigh: Na Gaeil were delighted to accept the €2,500 Michael Cusack Award in Limerick recently in recognition of Na Gaeil’s on-going efforts demonstrating their committment to the promotion of Irish & culture at club level. This prestigious award was presented by Munster Council Chairman Tim Murphy to Cáit Uí Chonchúir, Na Gaeil at Munster GAA headquarters in Limerick. Na Gaeil abú!

 

Tráth na gCeist Boird: Sheachtain na Gaeilge i gcomhpháirt leis an CLG, Aoine 14ú Márta ag 7.30 I Na Gaeil. Fáite roimh chách. Whether you are a quiz whiz or up for an enjoyable night out, join us for the Seachtain na Gaeilge Tráth na gCeist in partnership with CLG Chiarraí on Friday 14th March at 7.30pm in the clubhouse. All are welcome to a great night of fun trivia, general knowledge, cúpla ceist, spóirt, comhluadar agus craic. Bígí linn.

 

Secondary Schools Football: Commiserations to Na Gaeil’s Kevin O’Donoghue and his Mercy Mounthawk team who lost to St. Pats Maghera in the Masita GAA All-Ireland semi-final last Saturday. Well done to CBS, the Green, who won the Munster Taft Cup last Friday in Rathkeale. Na Gaeil was represented by Eoin Tansley (captain), Tom Slattery, Joseph Field, Danny Brick, Sean O’Connell and Andy Costello.

 

Cluichí le Teacht: Tralee/St Brendan’s Board Men’s Senior League fixtures: Sunday 9th at 12pm Na Gaeil (H) v Kerins O’Rahillys.

 

Minor Club Championship (Boys): Our understrength minor boys team lost to Firies last Saturday in the quarter-final of the Club Championship by 0-17 to 0-7. The result means they will now play in a Shield semi-final next Saturday. Opponents/venue/time to be confirmed.

 

Drámaíocht: “The Learning Curve” – a play written and directed by Mary Quirke will be performed in the club next Friday 7th & Saturday 8th. Both shows are sold out.

 

Scór Tráth na gCeist: Comhghairdeas mór le foireann Tráth na gCeist. A big well done to Liam, Iarla, Cillian agus Helen on a fantastic performance in the recent Tralee/ St Brendans Board Scór Sinsir quiz final holding a strong 3rd place until the final round. While they may not have taken the top prize, they did us proud with their effort and spirit showing great teamwork, knowledge and determination. Well done all involved. Ye represented Na Gaeil brilliantly. Go n-éiri go geal le foireann Chnoc na hEaglaise sa chéad babhta eile.

Fé 6 Buachaillí agus Cailíní: Our under 6s had another great fun training session yesterday morning in Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí. Hope to see you all again in Gaelcholáiste Ciarraí next Sunday from 10am to 11am. For more information contact Helen (087) 7631977 or Shane (086) 8380434.

 

Fé 8 Buachaillí: Our U8’s Academy enjoyed themselves yesterday morning at Gaelcholaiste Chiarrai. The 25 boys quickly warmed up, completed skills development and finished the session with a mini blitz. Well done everyone. See you all next Sunday morning in the Gaelcholaiste at 11am. New members are always welcome.

 

Fé 10 Buachaillí: Our u10s trained again yesterday in Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí. The boys were in great form again, and are showing great development in their skills and fundamental movement skills. Great to see such high numbers as we near our return to the field. Training continues next Sunday from 12pm – 1pm in Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí. New members are always welcome.

 

Fé 12 Buachaillí: Well done to our under 12 boys who put in a very energetic training session at the MTU yesterday morning. See you all again next Sunday at MTU from 11am to 12pm. New members are always welcome.

 

Cailiní ag Tréanáil: Yesterday our girls continued with their training indoors in the MTU from 9am to 10am. New members are always welcome. For more information contact Mike (087) 0508997 or Janice (085) 8424949.

 

Cluichí Sraithe Chiarraí 2025 (LGFA): Comhghairdeas le Deirdre Kearney, Mary O’Connell, Jadyn Lucey, Mark Bourke and the Kerry Ladies who secured another win on the road yesterday when they defeated Mayo by 2-8 to 0-4. The team’s next game will be on Saturday 22nd March when they will host Meath in Round 6.

 

Sraith Náisiúnta Peile 2025: Unfortunately no luck for Diarmuid, Damien agus foireann Ciarraí i gcoinne Maigh Eo. Next up is the visit of All-Ireland champions Armagh to Tralee on Saturday March 15th.

 

Sraith Iománaíochta Allianz 2025: Well done to Oisín Maunsell and the Kerry hurlers who overcame Meath in Austin Stack last Saturday. Final score: Kerry 1-20, Meath 0-20. Next Sunday at 1pm in Austin Stack Park Kerry will take on Down.

Sky Sports: We are delighted to say that the clubhouse is now showing all the major Premier League soccer games on the big screen.

 

Carrchlós: We would like to make patrons aware of the new wheelchair accessible parking bays and the yellow box for ambulance parking which were added to the club’s car parks last year. Please keep them free at all times for people who need them.

 

Stair Na Gaeil: Last year Michael Golden spent many hours putting together a list of notable club results & other information about the club since its foundation in 1978. This can now be found on our new website (www.nagaeil.ie). Click on the three lines in the top right hand corner. Select “About” then “Results over the Years”.

 

Hire the Hall/Halla ar Cíos: The hall in the clubhouse is available for parties or other events. Please email nagaeilclubhouse@gmail.com if you’d like to make a booking.

 

Na Gaeil Cycle Club/Ar do Rothar!: Cycle each Saturday at 9am from Na Gaeil club. Everyone is welcome to come for a nice friendly cycle.

 

Cartaí: The weekly 45 card game is held every Wednesday night starting at 9pm. Tá fáilte roimh chách.

 

Seanfhocal na Seachtaine: Ní bhíonn in aon rud ach seal. Nothing lasts forever.
