Lotto results/Torthaí an Lató: Lotto 28th January 2025. Numbers drawn were 6, 22, 27, 29. No winner. Biongó: Bingo tonight, Monday 3rd. Our Mini Accumulater Jackpot House will be worth €280 in 48 calls. Also Split the Bucket and raffle prizes galore. Starting time is 8pm sharp. Bus available on (087) 2817577. Over 18s only. Hope to see you all there for an excellent night out.

 

Volunteers/Cuntóirí: The club are looking for people to help out at bingo on Monday nights. If you can spare 2 hours every 5 or 6 weeks then Niamh (087-9863667) would be delighted to have you on board.

 

Bill Doody Memorial Tournament: Congratulations to our very own Na Gaeil ladies who won the Bill Doody memorial ladies tournament! And to Crossmolina Deel Rovers who won the men’s! Thanks to everyone who made it, we’re especially grateful to the 6 clubs and volunteers who participated. We had a total of 214 players and many more supporters in the clubhouse post-tournament for what was an incredible night. There is well over €10,000 raised so far and counting and there is still time to donate.

 

Golf Classic: A date for your diary……Na Gaeil will be hosting a Golf Classic on Friday April 4th in Tralee Golf Club. For more details please contact any member of the Executive.

 

Scór: Scór Sinsír Co. Final will take place on March 1st at 7pm in Dúchas, MTU. All entries to be confirmed before February 14th. Tralee/ St. Brendans District final for Scór na bPáistí will be held on March 11th at 7.30pm in Dúchas, MTU. All entries to be confirmed before March 4th.

Drámaíocht: “The Learning Curve” – a play written and directed by Mary Quirke will be performed in the club on Friday 7th & Saturday 8th March. Tickets will go on sale next month. The roles have been cast and rehearsals are underway! We will require personnel for Set design/props; Sound & Lighting; Photography/Videography; Ticket sales and PR/Marketing if anyone has particular skills in these areas, please phone Margaret at 086 0855008.

Fé 6 Buachaillí agus Cailíní: Our u6s had a great time training yesterday morning in Gaelcholáiste Ciarraí. We focused on the fundamentals of catching and bouncing, then moved onto movement drills and kicking. Training will continue there next Sunday 10am to 11am. Fé 8 Buachaillí: Our U8’s group participated in a fun blitz against Castleisland Desmonds in the MTU yesterday morning. Some great personal performances were on display. Thanks to Morgan Madden and the U8’s Coaches for facilitating the games. Well done to all the players. See you all next Sunday morning in Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí at 11am. New members are always welcome.

 

Fé 10 Buachaillí: Our U10 boys continued training yesterday morning, with kick passing being the focus. Well done to the U10 boys who served up some superb football when they played at the Bill Doody Memorial tournament on Saturday. Hope to see you all for training next Sunday 12pm – 1pm in Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí. New members are always welcome.

 

Cailíní ag Tréanáil: Our girls 2025 season started yesterday, indoors in the MTU, for under 8 girls, under 10 girls & under 12 girls from 9am to 10am. New members are always welcome. For more information contact Mike (087) 0508997 or Janice (085) 8424949.

 

Peil na mBan Chiarraí: Comhghairdeas! Congratulations to Na Gaeil players Hollie O’Driscoll & Roisín Reidy who have been selected on the Kerry LGFA u14 panel for 2025, to Avril Doyle & Orla Costello who have made the Kerry LGFA u16 panel for 2025 and to Eve Broderick who is part of the 2025 Kerry minor panel.

 

Cluichí Sraithe Chiarraí 2025 (LGFA): Gach rath ar Deirdre Kearney, Mary O’Connell, Jadyn Lucey, Mark Bourke and the Kerry Ladies team when they take on Waterford today in Round 2 of the Lidl Ladies National League Division 1. The game goes ahead in the SETU Arena at 3.45pm.

 

Sraith Náisiúnta Peile 2025: Yesterday Kerry travelled to Derry for Round 2 of the Allianz Football League Division 1 and came away with the spoils. Well done to Diarmuid O’Connor and Damien Bourke who were both outstanding. Next Saturday the team will host Donegal in a re-arranged fixture. Starting time in Fitzgerald Stadium will be 2.30pm.

 

Sraith Iománaíochta Allianz 2025: Unfortunately Kildare proved too strong for the Kerry hurlers in Newbridge last Saturday. Next Sunday, 9th February, Derry will provide the opposition when the sides clash in Austin Stack Park at 1pm.

 

Tralee/St. Brendan’s Senior League Fixtures: R1: Next Sunday 9th @ 12pm Austin Stacks v Na Gaeil. R2: 16/2/25 @ 12pm St. Pats v Na Gaeil. R3: 23/2/25 @ 12pm Na Gaeil v Kerins O’Rahillys.

 

New-Look Website/Suíomh Idirlíne: Our new-look website is now active thanks to the great work of Kieran Fitzgerald. Check it out on www.nagaeil.ie.

 

Sky Sports: We are delighted to say that the clubhouse is now showing all the major Premier League soccer games on the big screen.

 

Carrchlós: We would like to make patrons aware of the new wheelchair accessible parking bays and the yellow box for ambulance parking which were added to the club’s car parks earlier this year. Please keep them free at all times for people who need them.

 

Stair na Gaeil: Last year Michael Golden spent many hours putting together a list of notable club results & other information about the club since its foundation in 1978. This can now be found on our new website (www.nagaeil.ie). Click on the three lines in the top right hand corner. Select “About” then “Results over the Years”.

 

Hire the Hall/Halla ar Cíos: The hall in the clubhouse is available for parties or other events. Please email nagaeilclubhouse@gmail.com if you’d like to make a booking.

 

Na Gaeil Cycle Club/Ar do Rothar!: Cycle each Saturday at 9am from Na Gaeil club. Everyone is welcome to come for a nice friendly cycle.

 

Cartaí: The weekly 45 card game is held every Wednesday night starting at 9pm. Tá fáilte roimh chách.

 

Seanfhocal na Seachtaine: Is fearr deimhin ná díomá. Better be sure than sorry.
