Biongó: Tonight (Monday) our Mini Accumulater Jackpot House will be worth €220 in 42 calls. Also Split the Bucket and raffle prizes galore. Starting time is 8pm sharp. Bus available on (087) 2817577. Over 18s only. Hope to see you all there for an excellent night out.

 

Volunteers: The club are looking for people to help out at bingo on Monday nights. If you can spare 2 hours every 5 or 6 weeks then Niamh (087-9863667) would be delighted to have you on board.

Joe McDonagh Silver Medal: Bhí an áthas orainn Déardaoin seo caite glacadh le bonn airgid de chuid Fhondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonnacha ar son Na Gaeil Trálí. Cliodhna Ní Dhúfaigh ó Ghlór na nGael a bhronn an bonn ag tréaslú leis an gClub as an méid atá déanta agus á dhéanamh chun an Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn go laethúil in imeachtaí an chlub. I láthair leis ag an oíche chéiliúrtha ar bhóthar Chillín, bhí Oifigeach Pleanáil Teanga nua cheaptha do bhaile Trálí, Michelle Nic Gabhann. Thug Cliodhna agus Michelle ard mholadh do chlub Na Gaeil, an chéad agus an t-aon club CLG I  dTrálí atá cláraithe leis an gclár FSMD go dtí seo. All at Na Gaeil were delighted to receive the Joe Mc Donagh silver medal award last Thursday evening. Cliodhna Ní Dhúfaigh from Glór na nGael presented the award, congratulating the club on its on-going efforts to integrate the Irish language into the daily activities of the club. Also present was Tralee’s newly appointed Language Development officer Michelle Nic Gabhann. Both Cliodhna and Michelle congratulated all involved, acknowledging Na Gaeil to be the first and only Tralee CLG club registered with the FSMD programme, committed to preserving and promoting the Irish language through sport.

 

Na Gaeil AGM: Our club AGM has been fixed for Thursday 26th January. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Motions and nominations need to be submitted by January 2nd.

 

Drámaíocht: As a result of huge interest expressed in staging a Drama Production in Na Gaeil, Mary Quirke is proposing to start rehearsals in the New Year with a view to treading the boards in early March! Accordingly, we are asking anyone interested in getting involved to contact Mary on (086) 0806665. We are looking for actors, stage crew, sound/lighting technicians, PR and marketing personnel.

 

Bucket Collection: Bord na nÓg is having a bucket collection outside the front and back of Garvey’s Supervalu next Friday, 20th December. Thank you to everyone who has committed to helping out on the day.

 

Buachaillí fé 17: Comhghairdeas to our u17 team who received their County League winner’s medals last Saturday night in the clubhouse. Thank you to Diarmuid O’Connor and Damien Bourke for taking the time to present the medals and give some words of advice to the lads.

 

Kerry Senior Ladies: Last Friday night was a very special night for the Kerry Senior Ladies team as they received their All-Ireland medals at a Gala Event in the Great Southern Hotel, Killarney. Congratulations to our own Deirdre, Mary, Bríd, Eilís & Jadyn on their historic achievement.

 

New-Look Website: Our new-look website is now active thanks to the great work of Kieran Fitzgerald. Check it out on www.nagaeil.ie.

 

Sky Sports: We are delighted to say that the clubhouse is now showing all the major Premier League soccer games on the big screen.

Kerry Ladies National League fixtures 2025: Kerry Ladies will play in Division 1 of the Lidl Ladies National League in 2025. Their fixtures are as follows: 25th Jan: Kerry v Armagh. 3rd Feb: Waterford v Kerry. 9th Feb: Kerry v Kildare. 23rd Feb: Tyrone v Kerry. 2nd Mar: Mayo v Kerry. 22nd Mar: Kerry v Meath. 29th Mar: Kerry v Dublin.

 

Kerry Mens National League Fixtures 2025: Kerry will play in Division 1 of the Allianz Football League in 2025. Their fixtures are as follows: 26th Jan: Kerry v Donegal, 2nd Feb: Derry v Kerry. 15th Feb: Kerry v Dublin. 23rd Feb: Tyrone v Kerry. 1st Mar: Mayo v Kerry. 15th Mar: Kerry v Armagh. 23rd Mar: Galway v Kerry.

 

Changes to Car Park: We would like to make patrons aware of the new wheelchair accessible parking bays and the yellow box for ambulance parking which were added to the club’s car parks earlier this year. Please keep them free at all times for people who need them.

 

Club History: During the year Michael Golden spent many hours putting together a list of notable club results & other information about the club since its foundation in 1978. This can now be found on our new website (www.nagaeil.ie). Click on the three lines in the top right hand corner. Select “About” then “Results over the Years”.

 

Hire the Hall: The hall in the clubhouse is available for parties or other events. Please email nagaeilclubhouse@gmail.com if you’d like to make a booking.

 

Na Gaeil Cycle Club: Cycle each Saturday at 9am from Na Gaeil club. Everyone is welcome to come for a nice friendly cycle.

 

Cards: The weekly 45 card game is held every Wednesday night starting at 9pm. Tá fáilte roimh chách.

 

Seanfhocal na Seachtaine: Bíonn blas ar an mbeagán. A little of anything is tasty.
